conference calling on Skype, how do i put only one person on hold when there are two people in the call?

I am trying to do a by somebody, putting them on and somebody else, then putting somebody on again and connecting the two together, seems to only let me place all the in the on while in a , it wont let me pick one to place on while i talk to the other.
Does anyone know what i’m talking about? I have the latest version of

    Im not sure how to use skype but another excellent place is http://www.accutalk.net/ and they give you a list of what the different keys do like place on hold and mute.
